©In Idar-Oberstein, one thing is particularly impressive: the rock church. Built into a rock, the architecture impresses numerous visitors. The adjacent Bosselstein Castle is also worth a visit. From the viewing platform on the hill at Oberstein Castle, you have a magnificent view over the town. The German Mineral Museum, which documents interesting facts about gemstones and minerals from all over the world, is located directly below the hill.
The bus lines 801, 805, 806 and 870 take you directly below the Felsenkirche via the Stadttheater stop. In the direction of Idar-Oberstein train station, lines 805 and 806 stop practically right in front of the museum at the stop of the same name.
