Travel climate-friendly by bus, collect Climate Taler and get your thermo mug for the road

Do you pay attention to a climate-friendly lifestyle in your everyday life and often travel by bus instead of taking the car? It's worth it! Take part in the Climate Thaler campaign of the municipality of Wörrstadt now!

What is the Climate Thaler?

Via a free app, a virtual Climate Thaler is built up bit by bit with every sustainable action until a saving of 5kgCO2 is achieved. You will then have one Climate Thaler, which will be credited to you. The credit grows with every distance traveled on foot, by bike or by bus and train. Saving gas, electricity and water can also earn you Taler.

You can then exchange your collected Climate Taler for small discounts at retailers in the region or in the other Climate Taler partner municipalities. This is a fun way to do something good for yourself and for the climate!

Why are we taking part?

As a transport association, we are happy to support the campaign because we want to convince people that switching to buses and trains is essential for a climate-friendly and healthy future.

How can you take part?

  1. Download the free Klima-Taler app from the Apple AppStore or the Google Play Store.
  2. Register yourself. You don't need to enter your e-mail address, name or telephone number.
  3. Join the team of the municipality of Wörrstadt.
  4. Let's go! Collect Climate Taler for every bus ride or climate-friendly action.
  5. Redeem your collected Climate Taler at one of the following stations to receive the thermo cup:
  • Come to the Verbandsgemeindeverwaltung der VG Wörrstadt (Zum Römergrund 5, 55286 Wörrstadt) or the Tourist-Information (Bahnhofstraße 21, 55268 Wörrstadt). You can get there by getting off at Wörrstadt station by train or by taking bus lines 441, 442, 443, 444, 491, 492 or 644 and then taking a short walk. With line 491 you can also get off directly in front of the building at the VG-Verwaltung stop.
