The average increase in the RNN fare is 2.06 percent and affects both single and season tickets. This means that the price development remains in line with the current inflation rate.
BahnCard discount will be discontinued from 2026
From January 1, 2026, the previous BahnCard discount on RNN one-way tickets will no longer apply. This is due to a decision made by DB Fernverkehr AG in spring 2025 to only reimburse the transport associations for lost revenue if, among other things, a high minimum annual turnover is achieved. This revenue volume cannot be achieved in the RNN area - continuing the discount without reimbursement from DB Fernverkehr was not economically viable.
Even a changed offer from DB Fernverkehr AG from August 2025 would have led to financing gaps in the network. From January 1, 2026, the BahnCard discount will therefore no longer be offered in the network.
Passengers who regularly travel with one-way tickets in the RNN area can continue to save money: When using the digital RNN multi-trip ticket in DB Navigator, customers receive a 10 percent discount compared to the regular one-way ticket price.
