From January 1, 2026, the previous BahnCard discount on RNN one-way tickets will no longer apply. This is due to a decision by DB Fernverkehr, which will link its compensation payments to associations for the recognition of the BahnCard to a high minimum annual turnover from 2026. This turnover volume cannot be achieved in the RNN area - continuing the discount without reimbursement by DB Fernverkehr is not economically viable.
Passengers who regularly travel with one-way tickets in the RNN area can continue to save money: When using the digital RNN multi-trip ticket in DB Navigator, customers receive a 10 percent discount compared to the regular one-way ticket price.
