Changes to bus services in Wackernheim and Heidenfahrt (from 17.6.24)

From June 17, 2024, the service of the bus lines in Wackernheim and Heidenfahrt will be changed for about two years due to construction work in Wackernheim.

Bus routes 56 & 91: Routes 56 and 91 will not be able to serve Rathausplatz in Wackernheim. As a result, the departure times between Wackernheim and Ingelheim will be delayed by a few minutes. An additional journey will be offered from Wackernheim to Ingelheim at 7:21 a.m. on school days. Passengers are also asked to use the regular 7:11 a.m. service on route 56. The journeys from Mainz ending in Wackernheim will start/end at Große Hohl during the initial construction phases.

Bus route 79: There will be an adjustment to the timetable on route 79: The 7:18 a.m. trip from Heidenfahrt to Ingelheim will be canceled. It will be replaced by a journey on route 80, which will run via Heidenfahrt.

Bus route 80: Route 80 will take a different route. Wackernheim will not be served. Instead, the bus route runs from Heidesheim directly to Ingelheim. The departure times between Ingelheim and Heidesheim will therefore be delayed by a few minutes. The bus stops Heidesheim Oberdorfstraße, all stops in Wackernheim as well as Ingelheim Steingasse and Untere Stiftsstraße (both only in the direction of Ingelheim) will be omitted.

Bus route 614: Route 614 runs from Ingelheim station via Heidesheim to Wackernheim Mühlstraße (Unterort) and therefore cannot serve Heidenfahrt. Passengers from Heidenfahrt should use line 79. The morning school run to Ingelheim will be taken over by an additional line 80 from Heidenfahrt Unteraue/Rheinufer at 7:20 am.
