Line 68 Budenheim: Bus stop Bahnhof not available at certain times (from 12.8.24 for approx. 1.5 years)

From Monday, 12.8.2024, there will be long-term changes to route 68 in Budenheim for approx. 1.5 years. On Monday to Saturday evenings and on Sundays and public holidays, the Budenheim / Bahnhof stop will be closed. There will be a major detour from Mondays to Saturdays during the day.

The buses on route 68 will be diverted in Budenheim between the Hauptstraße and Bahnhof stops via the new, so-called 2nd connecting bridge in the Parkallee area. On the way, the buses will also stop at Gerhart-Hauptmann-Straße, Mainzer Landstraße 134 and Parkallee (only in the direction of Mainz).

Due to the longer journey time, departure and arrival times at Budenheim station will be changed.

Monday to Saturday evenings and all day on Sundays and public holidays
The buses on route 68 travel in a ring, in an anti-clockwise direction, through Budenheim. This means that from the Eaubonner Straße stop, the buses travel via the An der Heßlerquelle, Gonsenheimer Straße and Gerhart-Hauptmann-Straße stops to the Hauptstraße stop. From there, after a short break, the buses will return to Mainz via the stops Kirche and Eaubonner Straße. Unfortunately, the Budenheim / Bahnhof stop has to be cancelled during these periods and can only be reached on foot from the Hauptstraße stop ^.
