Line RE2, RE3, RE15, RB26, RB33, RB35, RB65: Train cancellations between Ingelheim and Mainz (14.12.-23.12.)

From December 14, 2025, 5 a.m. to December 23, 2025, 5 a.m., DB InfraGo will be carrying out work for the new digital interlocking Mainz (DSTW Mainz) between Ingelheim and Mainz. Work will also be carried out in the track area, among other things. For this reason, there will be train cancellations, detour and replacement bus services on various sections of the route.

The railroad line is fully closed between Ingelheim and Mainz. In addition, from December 14 to December 18 the line between Oberwesel and Boppard is closed as well resulting in timetable changes , replacement service and trains being canceled.

Affected lines:

RE 2: In the period from December 14 to 18, 2025, trains on the RE 2 line will be rerouted via the right bank of the Rhine on the Mainz Hbf - Koblenz Hbf section without stopping.
In the period from December 19 to 22, 2025, the RE 2 line trains on the Mainz Hbf - Gau Algesheim section will be canceled.
RE 3 / RB 33: Trains on the RE 3 and RB 33(vlexx) lines will be canceled on the Mainz Hbf - Ingelheim section.
RE 15: In the period from December 14 to 22, 2025, the trains on the RE 15 line will be canceled on the Mainz Hbf - Bad Kreuznach section.
RB 26: Trains on the RB 26(MittelrheinBahn) line will be canceled on the Mainz Hbf - Ingelheim section.
RB 35: On December 18, 2025, one train of the RB 35 with the train number 13859 between Bingen (Rh) Hbf and Sprendlingen (Rheinhess) will be canceled. In the opposite direction, the train with train number 13862 between Sprendlingen (Rheinhess) and Bingen (Rh) Hbf will be canceled.
RB 65: On December 18, 2025, all trains on the RB 65 line between Bad Kreuznach - Bingen (Rh) Hbf will be canceled after 8 pm. On December 19, the train with train number 12702 from Bingen (Rh) Hbf to Bad Kreuznach will also be canceled.

During the construction work, we will provide a comprehensive replacement service with buses (EV). We will inform you of the exact timetables as soon as the replacement concepts have been finalized. Furthermore, the journeys of the replacement service will be successively integrated into the online timetable information. Please note the deviating travel times of the replacement buses.
