With the end of the Easter vacations, there will be adjustments to the timetables. This mainly affects the start of night and early morning services. Lines 9, 28, 33, 55, 59, 67, 69, 74 and 75 are not affected by any changes. There will be (minor) adjustments on all other lines.
No changes during the day on Mondays to Fridays
During the week, the timetable will remain unchanged from around 4 a.m. to around 11 p.m. There will therefore be no changes for the main commuter flows.
Night and early morning services start uniformly at 11 pm
The night and early morning lines 6, 50, 66, 90, 91, 92 and 93 now all start at 11 p.m. in the evening. On Fridays and Saturdays, they will therefore start one hour earlier than before. On Saturday mornings, the above lines will also run until 8 a.m. (instead of 6 a.m.) and on Sunday mornings until 10 a.m. (instead of 8 a.m.).
On weekend nights until around 2 a.m., on Saturday mornings between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. and on Sunday mornings between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., lines 51, 52, 68, 76, 79 and 80 will also run (at times). This means that in combination with the above-mentioned lines 6, 50, 66, 90, 91, 92 and 93, a 15-minute interval is available in most parts of the city during these periods.
On the nights from Sunday to Monday to Thursday to Friday, the last journeys on line 50 - as is already the case with the other night and spring lines - take place at 1 a.m. at the main station. This is followed by a break in service until around 3 a.m. before the first streetcars start again.
Daytime lines end earlier and start later
Due to the changes to the framework times of the night and spring lines, lines 53, 54, 56, 57 (on the section from the main station to Bretzenheim), 60, 62, 64, 70, 76 (on the section from the main station to the streetcar office) and 80 will end an hour earlier on weekend nights. The lines also start two hours later on Saturdays and Sundays.
Lines 57 (on the Hbf - Kastel section), 58, 63, 65, 71, 76 (on the Hbf - Laubenheim section), 78 and 81 start one hour later on Saturdays.
The night and early lines are available before / after the times mentioned at most stops and for most connections. Lines 9, 28, 33, 55, 59, 67, 69, 74 and 75 are not affected by any changes.
Major changes in Ingelheim and districts from 8.4.
From Wednesday, April 8, Freie Platz in Heidesheim and Lennebergstraße in Uhlerborn will be closed, resulting in major changes to routes 79 and 80.
Changes to meinRad and bus stop names
The stop and the meinRad station at Höfchen have each been extended to include the addition "Staatstheater". While the change to the stop announcement and the name of the meinRad station have already had the addition for several weeks, this is also visible in all other timetable media, such as the timetable tables and on the stop sticker on the Mobi pillars, as of 13 April.
The addition "Werner's Backstube" was also added to the meinRad station on Holzstraße at the beginning of April.
New timetable tables and timetable minis
The new timetable tables and timetables as well as connection information can be found at www.mainzer-mobilitaet.de. Timetable minis for the above lines affected by the changes will be available to passengers from 10 April at the replacement location of the Mainz Transport Center at Schillerplatz 18.
