Due to a burst water pipe in Goethestraße, some detour in Mainz Neustadt will have to be taken with immediate effect and from 1.3.2026.
From now on, line 28 coming from the direction of "Mainz, Höfchen" will take a detour via Rheinallee, Kaiser-Karl-Ring and a U-turn in Barbarossaring in front of the former fire station directly to the Bismarckplatz stop.
The return journey will be in reverse order.
The stops "Mainz, Goetheplatz" and "Mainz, Goethestraße" are no longer available in both directions. Please change to the stops "Mainz, Sömmerringstraße" and "Mainz, Bismarckplatz". At the stop "Mainz, Bismarckplatz" the bus will stop at the normal departure points.
From 1.3.2026, route 62 will follow the same detour route as route 28.
Line 67 will not have any stops due to the detour from 1.3.2026. However, line 67 will depart from the "Mainz, Goetheplatz" stop at the waiting position instead of stop area A.
