From January 2, 2026, the route between Mainz and Ingelheim is expected to be severely restricted for several months:
From January 2 to 15, the following general rule will apply:
Mondays to Fridays during the day, the route will be single-track, with RE 3 and RB 33 trains (stopping at all stops between Ingelheim and Mainz) running, in some cases with modified timetables. The trains of the RE 2 and the Mittelrheinbahn RB 26 do not run between Gau-Algesheim or Ingelheim and Mainz.
The RB 26 trains, which would only run between Bingen and Ingelheim due to the route restrictions, will not run outside of school hours. In school traffic, bus replacement services are generally available
At weekends, the route between Mainz and Ingelheim is completely closed.
There are different arrangements for evening services depending on the state of construction.
The cancellation of the Mittelrheinbahn RB 26 trains between Bingen/Ingelheim and Mainz is NOT included in the RNN timetable information. Please use the Deutsche Bahn App (DB Navigator) for a connection query or the timetable information on the Deutsche Bahn website.
