Rail replacement service between Mainz main station and Hechtsheim (from 29.10. until further notice)

Due to a burst water pipe in the Kurmainz-Kaserne area, there will be rail replacement services between Mainz main station and Hechtsheim from and until 29.10.2025 until further notice.

  • Changes from Wednesday, 29.10.2025, 4 a.m. Affected lines: 50, 52, 53 and 59

    Line 50

    • The streetcars usually run from Finthen to the Pariser Tor stop (and back).
    • Some streetcars will have to terminate at the main station and will be diverted from there to Marienborn to the Wiesenstraße stop.
    • Replacement buses are in operation between Hechtsheim and Pariser Tor. Please also use bus lines 652, 653, 654 and 660 between Pariser Tor (, Schillerplatz) and the main railway station.

    Line 52

    • There are no more streetcars on line 52, the existing SEV between Bretzenheim and Hauptbahnhof continues to run to and from Hechtsheim to the Am Schinnergraben stop.
    • In the Zollhafen area, please change to bus route 76 from the Straßenbahnamt stop.

    Line 53

    • The streetcars run from Lerchenberg to the Pariser Tor stop (and back).
    • Some streetcars have to terminate at the main station and will be diverted from there to the Zollhafen stop.
    • Replacement buses are in operation between Hechtsheim and Pariser Tor, marked as line 50.
    • Please also use bus lines 652, 653, 654 and 660 between Pariser Tor (, Schillerplatz) and the main railway station.

    Line 59

    • Not applicable.
    • In the Zollhafen area, please change to bus line 76 from the Straßenbahnamt stop, and in the area of the university to the other bus and streetcar lines running there.

    SEV lines 50, 52 and 53

    • Replacement buses are in operation on line 52 along the entire route and on line 50 between Hechtsheim / Bürgerhaus and Pariser Tor.
    • We are trying to replace as many streetcar journeys as possible with buses, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee fixed departure times. Therefore, please also switch to other bus lines.

    Line 50

    • Replacement buses will be used between Hechtsheim and the main station. At the main station, the buses start at stop C (of line 80 towards Laubenheim).

    Line 52

    • Only a few streetcars are in operation between Zollhafen and Am Gautor. On the Zollhafen - Hauptbahnhof section, please switch to line 59 and the diverted line 53.
    • The existing SEV between Bretzenheim and Hauptbahnhof will continue to run to and from Hechtsheim to the Am Schinnergraben stop.
    • At the main station, the replacement buses to Hechtsheim will depart from stop K. In the direction of Bretzenheim, the replacement buses at the main station will only stop at stop area L (instead of C and L).

    Line 53

    • The streetcars will run from Lerchenberg to the main station and will be diverted from there to Zollhafen (and back).
    • There will be replacement buses between Hechtsheim and the main station, marked as line 50.
    • At the main station, the buses start at stop C (of line 80 towards Laubenheim).

    SEV lines 50, 52 and 53

    • Replacement buses are in operation between the main station and Hechtsheim / Bürgerhaus (line 50) and Hechtsheim / Am Schinnergraben (line 52).
    • The SEV buses will depart from the main station to Hechtsheim at different locations:
      • SEV line 50 (direction Hechtsheim / Bürgerhaus): from stop area C
      • SEV line 52 (direction Hechtsheim / Am Schinnergraben): from stop area K
