The RNN connects the region

Since August 1, 1999, the Rhein-Nahe Nahverkehrsverbund (RNN) has ensured that you can travel flexibly in Rheinhessen-Nahe with just one ticket: whether bus, train or tram.

You can change between all participating transport companies without having to worry about new tickets. Our network area includes the districts of Birkenfeld, Bad Kreuznach, Mainz-Bingen and Alzey-Worms Nord as well as the transitional areas of Mainz/Wiesbaden and Alzey/Worms.

Our mission

We make it possible for everyone in Rheinhessen-Nahe to

  • simply get on board,

  • travel sustainably, and

  • arrive relaxed.

How the RNN works

The Rhein-Nahe Nahverkehrsverbund (RNN) organizes and markets local public transport in the Rhein-Nahe region. Since 2021, RNN GmbH has been fully owned by Zweckverband Rhein-Nahe Nahverkehrsverbund (ZRNN) in which districts, cities and the state of Rhineland-Palatinate jointly decide on strategy, financing and transport policy goals. This close cooperation ensures optimal coordination with state transport policy and creates advantages for investments, funding programs and regional mobility projects.
