House tariff of KRN (Kommunalverkehr Rhein-Nahe)

The in-house tariff applies to all lines and line sections of KRN Kommunalverkehr Rhein-Nahe GmbH for all cross-network journeys from the RNN network area to the respective neighboring transport associations and vice versa.

The KRN in-house tariff applies to the following lines and areas of validity:

  • KRN Northwest: From Gemünden (line 284) to Kirn; the area of validity in the RNN includes the area of the RNN honeycombs 425, 429 and 430.
  • KRN Southwest: From Kusel via Altenglan and Lauterecken (line 260 and also on bus lines 270 and 271 of DB Regio Bus Mitte for cross-network journeys) to Bad Sobernheim as well as school transport for the Meisenheim school location. In the RNN, the area of application includes the RNN honeycombs 414, 415, 416 and 420.
  • KRN Südost: From Alsenz (line 221) to Bad Kreuznach and school transport Niederhausen/ Appeltal. The area of validity in the RNN includes the area of the RNN honeycombs 400, 401, 402 and 435.
  • KRN North-East: From Simmern (line 230) to Bingen or Bad Kreuznach as well as other (school) services from or through the Rhine-Hunsrück district. The area of validity in the RNN includes the area of the RNN honeycombs 330, 331, 332, 333, 400, 404, 406, 407, 408, 409. From honeycomb 410 in the direction of the VRM network area and on bus route 645 from Bad Kreuznach station, the VRM fare applies as a transitional fare.

Joint in-house tariff Scherer-Reisen and NVB Birkenfeld

The in-house fare regulations apply to all routes and route sections of the transport companies Scherer-Reisen Omnibusgesellschaft mbH and Nahverkehrsbetriebe Birkenfeld GmbH from the RNN network area to the respective neighboring transport networks and vice versa. The in-house tariff is used jointly by the two transport companies for all routes that include at least one cross-network route section. Tickets issued in the house tariff are mutually recognized. The additional area of validity in the RNN comprises exclusively the bus routes of Scherer Reisen and NVB Birkenfeld in the area of the RNN honeycombs 426 and 430 to 480 - i.e. the entire district of Birkenfeld and the honeycombs up to Kirn. The house tariff does not apply on the trains.
