With the start of the new school year on Monday, August 10, 2026, several changes to bus service in the RNN area will take effect. These adjustments are designed, among other things, to address passenger requests, improve access to key destinations, and optimize the route network. Passengers are asked to check their usual route in the RNN fare and schedule information before boarding.
An overview of the most important changes:
Route 202
In response to requests from many passengers, the “Bad Kreuznach, Alzeyer Straße Mitte/REWE” stop will be included in the route in the future. In addition, buses will once again serve the “Neufelder Weg” stop in both directions.
Routes 204 and 205
The restructuring of lines 204 and 205 will create new direct connections within Bad Kreuznach.
The previous “Bad Kreuznach, Hohe Bell” stop on Line 204 will be discontinued. Instead, buses will stop at the new accessible “Segelfalterweg” stop. From there, the buses will continue as Line 205 without a transfer via “Im Weingarten” and Schwabenheimer Weg to the train station. This provides passengers from the Im Ellenfeld/Richard-Wagner-Straße area with a direct connection to the shopping centers on Schwabenheimer Weg. This also applies in the opposite direction.
In the future, Line 205 will focus on the section Bad Kreuznach Bahnhof – Schwabenheimer Weg – Im Weingarten – Segelfalterweg, where it will immediately merge with Line 204. The “Dürerstraße/Spielplatz” and “Hermann-George-Weg” stops will no longer be served by Line 205.
New Line 211
The new Line 211 is being established to serve the former western section of Line 205. It connects the Bad Kreuznach train station with the stops “Eberhard-Anheuser-Straße,” “John-F.-Kennedy-Str.,” and “Justizzentrum.” The route then continues via “St.-Franziskus-Kirche,” “Matthias-Grünewald-Str.,” and “Markuszentrum” back to the train station. This means that the “Markuszentrum” stop will be reactivated and regularly integrated into the route network.
Routes 625 and 626
Between 6:00 and 8:00 a.m.—and thus outside of Rheinwelle’s operating hours—the buses will now serve the “Gau-Algesheim, Gärtnerei” stop. This provides employees in the local industrial park with an additional transportation option.
Line 643
The “Uelversheim, Eimsheimer Straße” stop will be discontinued. In the future, the “Uelversheim, Ort” or “Uelversheim, Grundschule” stops will be available as alternatives.
Changes to School Bus Routes
There are also a few adjustments to school bus routes. Of particular note is the relocation of the stop for the Realschule plus Meisenheim to Präses-Held-Straße.
