Good news for all those who travel long hours before public holidays: From 1 May 2026, we will be expanding the night-time services on lines 630 and 660, giving passengers additional return options on the nights before public holidays and on public holidays before Saturdays and Sundays.
New in the timetable are departures at 1:40 a.m. and 3:10 a.m. from Mainz main station in the direction of Sprendlingen and Undenheim respectively on the nights in question. Previously, comparable night-time connections were mainly available on classic weekend nights - i.e. from Friday to Saturday and from Saturday to Sunday.
The additional service will be launched on the night of May 1 (Labor Day) and the night of May 2. From then on, it will be valid on the nights before all public holidays in Rhineland-Palatinate and on public holiday nights before a Saturday or Sunday, including, among others:
- Ascension Day (night of May 14)
- Whit Monday (night of May 25)
- Corpus Christi (night of June 4)
The aim of the expansion is to ensure that there is also an offer before public holidays that enables longer stays at events, celebrations or meetings with friends - without having to forego a safe and comfortable journey home.
