Once again this year, the Bingen Wine Festival, taking place from August 28 to September 7, 2026, will draw numerous visitors to the city. To ensure a stress-free trip to and from the festival, service will be expanded on many routes.
Line 601 (Bingen–Sponsheim) will run continuously every half hour from Monday through Thursday until 1:00 a.m. On the particularly busy days of Friday and Saturday, service will be expanded even further: buses will run every half hour until 2:00 a.m. A frequent schedule is also guaranteed on Sunday—buses will run every half hour until 1:00 a.m.
Line 230 (Bingen – Weiler – Waldalgesheim – Stromberg) also offers additional service. On Friday and Saturday, special buses run at 12:42 a.m. and 1:42 a.m. On Sunday evening, there is also an additional trip at 10:40 p.m.
On Line 233 (Bingen – Büdesheim – Grolsheim – Gensingen), a later service at 11:10 p.m. is offered from Sunday through Thursday. On weekends—Fridays and Saturdays—passengers can take advantage of additional night services until 1:40 a.m.
Line 234 (Bingen – Münster-Sarmsheim – Rümmelsheim – Waldlaubersheim) runs hourly on Friday and Saturday evenings from 11:18 p.m. to 1:18 a.m.
Service is particularly extensive on Line 235 (Bingen – Kempten – Gensingen). Here, buses run at frequent intervals on Fridays and Saturdays starting at 4:00 p.m.—every 30 minutes in the evening, and even every 20 minutes during peak hours on Saturdays between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Return trips begin at 9:00 PM, initially every half hour, before the buses also run every 20 minutes between 10:00 PM and 1:00 AM. Later return trips are also available on the other festival days: From Monday through Thursday, buses run until 12:37 a.m., and on Sunday until 12:13 a.m. In addition, service is increased during the day on Sundays.
Furthermore, there will be additional train services during the Winzerfest. The extra trains will run between Bingen and Bad Kreuznach as well as from Bingen to Alzey, and their schedules are available at www.rnn.info.
