Travel to France with the Deutschland-Ticket

FromJuly 1 through August 31, 2026, the Deutschland-Ticket and the D-Ticket JugendBW will be accepted for all ticket holders under the age of 28 who reside in Rhineland-Palatinate, Baden-Württemberg, or the Saarland.

In return, the French youth ticket “Pass Jeune” is also valid in these three federal states for travel on regional trains (RE, RB, and S-Bahn). However, this does not apply to other modes of transport within the regional transit network.

Please note that during a ticket inspection, you must present a valid ID card or passport in addition to your ticket.

Thanks to the cooperation between the Grand Est region and the three German states, it is once again possible to use regional public transportation on both sides of the border at no additional cost. The offer also includes bus routes operated by TER Fluo, which run from Strasbourg all the way to Paris . Long-distance trains are excluded from this arrangement.
