Effective July 1, 2026, the local government—with a total of 154 employees—will switch from the current RNN JobTicket to the Germany-wide “Deutschland-Ticket Job,” thereby benefiting from significantly
expanded travel options on public transit.
With this transition, the local municipality will rely on the RNN’s JobTicket service, which is established throughout Germany. Employees will no longer be limited to using local and regional buses and trains within the transit network area but will be able to use them nationwide—both for commuting to work and for leisure activities.
“By switching to the Deutschland-Ticket Job, the municipality of Bodenheim joins
a growing number of municipalities and companies that are sending a strong signal in favor of modern
and sustainable mobility in everyday work life,” explains Silke Meyer, Managing Director of the
RNN. “Especially in times of rising fuel prices, it’s important to provide employees with attractive
access to public transit and thereby actively strengthen the system. We’re
very pleased that more and more municipalities are taking this step and, together with
us, are actively shaping the local transportation transition.”
“Our employees will benefit from significantly more flexibility in public
transit in the future,” emphasizes Jens Mutzke, mayor of Bodenheim. “With the
Deutschland-Ticket Job, they receive an attractive offer that can be used far beyond their daily
commute. At the same time, we’re supporting sustainable mobility and
enhancing our appeal as an employer.”
The municipality of Bodenheim thus joins the growing number of local governments,
administrations, and companies that purchase the Deutschland-Ticket Job through the RNN.
