Increased Service and Detours:
This year’s Hochheim Market will take place from Friday, November 6, 2026, through Tuesday, November 10, 2026. To accommodate this event, a significantly expanded schedule will be offered on Line 68to and from Hochheim. Starting Wednesday, November 4, 2026, through Wednesday, November 11, 2026, Line 68 will be rerouted within Hochheim.
Travel to and from the event, Friday, November 6, 2026, through Tuesday, November 10, 2026:
Outbound Trip
To reach the festival grounds, we recommend using the Daubhäuschen stop. The Antoniushaus and Alleestraße stops will not be served by Line 68, even on the additional trips.
Return Trip
The return trip toward Mainz always departs from the bus station at the temporary stop “Daubhäuschen” on Mainzer Straße. Line 68 does not serve the Alleestraße and Antoniushaus stops.
Additional Trips on Market Days:
The schedule for Line 68 is significantly expanded on market days between Mainz / Main Station and Hochheim / Daubhäuschen. In the evening hours, the line’s operating hours are also extended:
Late Friday night into Saturday & late Saturday night into Sunday: last departure around 2:00 a.m.
Nights from Sunday to Monday, Monday to Tuesday, and Tuesday to Wednesday: last trip around 1:00 a.m.
Detours and Changed Departure Times
New: Starting Wednesday, November 4, 2026, through Wednesday, November 11, 2026:
Toward Hochheim, all regular trips on Line 68 will depart from the Daubhäuschen stop, travel via the Wiesbadener Straße stop to the Berliner Platz stop, and continue along the regular route. The additional trips will end at the Daubhäuschen stop.
Toward Mainz, buses will depart from the Breslauer Ring stop (where there is a temporary stop on Frankfurter Straße), pass through the Berliner Platz stop and a temporary stop at Daubhäuschen, and proceed directly toward Mainz.
Changes to bus stops
- The Antoniushaus, Allestraße, Dresdener Ring, and Hochheim / Hallenbad stops are omitted in both directions without replacement.
- The Breslauer Ring stop is omitted in the direction of Hochheim; in the direction of Mainz, a temporary stop on Frankfurter Straße will be served.
- On Mainzer Straße, just before the intersection with Am Daubhaus, a substitute stop named “Daubhäuschen” will be served.
- The “Geheimrat-Hummel-Platz” stop, which is normally located on the detour route toward Mainz, is omitted for all lines.
Changed Departure Times
In the direction of Hochheim / Altenwohnheim, departures from the Berliner Platz stop will take place earlier.
