Take the Bus or Train to Sunday Shopping
Stores will be open on September 20 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
For the Sunday shopping day on September 20, 2026, we’re offering more trips and greater capacity by using articulated buses. In collaboration with Mainz City Management, the “Mainz-trifft-sich” ticket will also be available again.
The buses will follow their usual routes through Ludwigsstraße.
More Trips:
From approximately 12:00 p.m. to approximately 7:00 p.m., the following additional trips will be offered:
Line 56
Runs every 30 minutes to Wackernheim.
Line 57
Runs to and from Kastel / Krautgärten, but in Bretzenheim it always departs 10 minutes later than usual.
Line 58
Runs every 30 minutes along the entire route between Bischofsheim and Finthen.
Line 68
Buses will be rerouted via the Dresdner Ring from approximately 9:00 a.m. to approximately 9:00 p.m.
Line 76
Runs toward the main station 2 minutes later than usual.
Other bus routes
On the remaining bus routes that run through the Old Town, only articulated buses are in service.
