Mainz 05: Special Buses from the Central Station to the MEWA Arena (Sept. 18)

Buses begin departing at 4:00 p.m. from the main train station at the Alicenstraße ramp (stop area S).

After the game ends, buses will depart for the main train stationuntil approximately 10:15 p.m. from the special “Arena” stop on Saarstraße, stops A and B (bus).

The buses run frequently, depending on passenger volume, without making any stops along the way, and thus reach their destination within 5 minutes.

Passengers who wish to board at the Hauptbahnhof West/Mainzer Taubertsberg Bad + Spa, Universität/Haupteingang (bus lines 54, 55, 56, and 58 do not stop at this stop), or Friedrich-von-Pfeiffer-Weg/Universität, are asked to take lines 54, 55, 56, or 58 to the Kisselberg stop, or lines 51 and 53 to the Jakob-Heinz-Straße/Arena stop.

For those using the parking lot at Bruchwegstadion, we recommend boarding tram lines 51 and 53 at the Universität/Haupteingang B stop.

After the game:

Regular service will be supplemented with additional trips starting around 8:55 p.m. as needed:

  • Lines 56, 58, and 78 (all departing from the Kisselberg stop heading out of town)

For safety reasons, service will be suspended at the following stops for approximately 60 minutes after the actual end of the game:

  • Jakob-Heinz-Straße/Arena in both directions
  • Mainz University, Stop Area A (toward downtown)

Please note: Reopening will be determined on a case-by-case basis by the local law enforcement authorities, and the closure times may therefore vary.
