Special buses main station - MEWA-Arena

Departures start at 17:15 from the main station from the ramp on Alicenstraße (stop area S).

After the end of the match, the buses will depart from the special Arena stop on Saarstraße, stop areas A + B (bus) to the main station from 22:30 until around 00:15.

The vehicles will run at regular intervals according to the number of passengers without intermediate stops and thus reach their destination within 5 minutes.

  • Main Station West/Mainzer Taubertsbergbad,

  • Universität/Haupteingang (no stop for lines 54, 56 and 58 at this stop) or

  • Friedrich-von-Pfeiffer-Weg/University

please take lines 54, 56 or 58 to the Kisselberg stop or streetcar lines 51 and 53 to the Jakob-Heinz-Straße/Arena stop.

For users of the Bruchwegstadion parking lot, we recommend boarding streetcar lines 51 and 53 at the Universität B stop.

General public transportation

Before the match:

Additional trips from the city districts/suburbs directly to the arena will take place from approx. 18:30:

  • Line 54 from Klein-Winternheim/Bahnhof

  • Line 56 from Wackernheim/Rathausplatz

  • Line 58 from Bischofsheim/Treburer Straße

  • Line 68 from Budenheim/Hauptstraße and Hochheim/Altenwohnheim

  • Line 78 from Finthen/Römerquelle, from Daniel-Brendel-Straße directly to Kisselberg

  • Outward journeys on line 630 will be reinforced by a second bus from Bad Kreuznach at 17:32 and 18:32 from Stadecken Ehrensäule

After the game:

The regular service will be increased in frequency as required from 23:00 and reinforced with additional trips:

  • Line 51 in the direction of Lerchenberg (from the Kisselberg B stop)

  • Lines 54, 56 and 78 (each from the Kisselberg D stop)

  • Line 68 to Hochheim (from the Kisselberg C stop)

  • Additional bus line 630 at 23:30 from Mainz main station with a stop in Mainz Hochschule in the direction of Sprendlingen


For safety reasons, the bus stops will be closed for 60 minutes after the end of the match:

  • Jakob-Heinz-Straße/Arena in both directions

  • Mainz University of Applied Sciences, stop area A (in the direction of the city center)

Please note: The start of the 60-minute closure may vary if the match is extended.
