From July 11 through an estimated date of December 12, the right bank of the Rhine between Wiesbaden and Troisdorf (near Bonn) will be closed.
At the same time, the Main Bridge between Mainz-Kostheim and Mainz-Bischofsheim will be closed until September 18.
As a result, the following changes will apply on the left bank of the Rhine between Mainz and Bingen/Bad Kreuznach:
- All trains will skip the stop at Mainz-Mombach until September 18.
- Trains on the Mittelrheinbahn RB 26 line, which increase the frequency of the hourly service between Mainz and Bingen on the Mainz–Bingen–Koblenz–Bonn–Cologne route to a half-hourly service
- will not stop every 2 hours
- will stop every 2 hours, but not at all stations, and will run at different times
- RE 15 trains will be suspended except for one pair of trains between Mainz and Bad Kreuznach
- Some vlexx trains will have schedule changes during rush hour
