From July 11 through December 12, the right bank of the Rhine between Wiesbaden and Troisdorf near Bonn will be closed. Since the Main River bridge between Mainz-Kostheim and Mainz-Bischofsheim will also be closed until September 18, more freight trains will have to be rerouted via Oppenheim.
As a result, on the S5/S6 lines from July 11 through approximately September 4, only one train per hour will run between Mainz and Worms after the morning rush hour.
From Mainz Central Station, the remaining train departs at minute 52.
At Mainz Central Station, the remaining train arrives at the 36- or 38-minute mark.
There may be additional restrictions during evening and late-night service.
Due to the closure of the B9 between Oppenheim and Nierstein during the summer break from July 11 through August 2 (tentatively), the canceled train can only be replaced by a bus between Mainz Central Station and Nierstein until August 2.
