Overview of the transportation plan
July 10–12, July 22–24, and August 3–9, 2026
- At night (9 p.m. to 5 a.m.), the S8 will be suspended between Wiesbaden Central Station and Kelsterbach
- Replacement bus service (lines S8A, S8E, S8X, S9X)
- Different arrangements on the RE lines (on the first weekend, RE 4/14 was canceled; RE 2 and RE 3 ran via the North Main route)
July 24 through August 3, August 28 through September 9, and September 11 through 14, 2026
- Complete suspension of the S8 between Wiesbaden Central Station and Kelsterbach/Frankfurt Airport
- Replacement bus service (lines S8E, S8X, S9X)
- S-Bahn shuttle service between Wiesbaden Central Station and Mainz Central Station
- RE 2 and RE 3 will operate via the northern Main route between Mainz Central Station and Frankfurt Central Station. Stops at Mainz Roman Theater, Bischofsheim, Rüsselsheim, Frankfurt Airport, and Niederrad will be omitted.
- RE 4 and RE 14 are canceled between Mainz Central Station and Frankfurt Central Station
